The world, a few days at a time
Craig is a musician, and a flight attendant, which means the world arrives in front of him a few days at a time. Portuguese, German, Spanish, some Russian and some French. The collection grew because a layover in a city whose language you do not speak is just an airport with a view.
What he describes is not fluency as an achievement but as an entry point. Language is what lets him share in the cultures he lands in and become, briefly, part of them rather than an observer passing through.

Craig
Musician and flight attendant
“Language allows you to connect in ways that are unparalleled by any other feeling in the world.”
About Craig
Craig is a musician who speaks Portuguese, German and Spanish, plus some Russian and French. His career as a flight attendant takes him around the world, and language is what turns those stops into something more than a layover: a way to share in the cultures he lands in rather than pass through them.
