Activity 1: Form plurals

Take a look at the singular nouns below. What is the plural form of each noun? If you are stuck, use the chart of plural nouns or the post about plural nouns to help you figure out the correct plural form.

Part 1: Regular plural nouns

  1. Singular: tax

    Plural:

  3. Singular: book

Part 2: Irregular plural nouns

  1. Singular: fungus

    Plural:

    A photo of a log covered in shelf mushrooms.

  2. Singular: goose

    Plural:

    A photo of a gray domestic goose in a park.

  3. Singular: tooth

    Plural:

    A photograph shows the lower part of a woman's face as she smiles.

  4. Singular: calf

    Plural:

    A tan calf lying in the grass in front of a fence.

  5. Singular: fish

    Plural:

    A photo of a goldfish on a black background.
