Mango features
Turn the web you already read into practice
The most authentic material in your target language isn't in a course. It's the news, the recipes and the forums that native speakers actually read, and Mango Reader makes those readable before you're ready for them.
What it is
A browser extension, not another app
Mango Reader is a Chrome extension. Install it, open a page in the language you're learning, and tap any word you don't know to see what it means, without leaving the page or losing your place. It's free to install and use with a Mango Languages account.
Nothing has to be imported and nothing gets copied into a separate reader. You stay on the site you chose, whether that's a news article, a recipe, or a forum thread someone linked you, and the help arrives on top of it.
That matters because the reading you actually finish is the reading you were already going to do. A course passage is something you sit down for. A page you were reading anyway is practice you don't have to schedule.
Reading a language is also how you get things to say in it. The phrase you met in a recipe this morning is the one that turns up when someone asks what you cook.
Mango Reader currently covers 57 languages.

What it does
Four things, on any page
The point is that you keep reading what you were already going to read. Everything below happens in place, on the page you are on, so practice stops being a separate activity you have to remember to do.
Word meanings in place
Select a word on any site for an instant translation inline, so an unfamiliar sentence doesn't end the reading session.
Full dictionary entries
When the instant translation isn't enough, pull the complete WordReference entry for the word you selected.
Conjugation tables
Select a verb and see it conjugated, which is usually the actual reason a sentence isn't parsing.
Straight into your vocabulary
Save words as you browse and they land in My Vocabulary in Mango, ready to review with everything else.
Where it fits
It feeds the same review system
Words you save from the web sit alongside the ones you saved from your course and your reading passages: one list, reviewed in one place.
