Sarah Worsham sharing how she used Mango Languages on her last trip to Germany
Just a quick note to give you feedback about the Mango site here in Belleville. I just got off the phone with one of our patrons who called it “Awesome, the best language program I’ve ever seen!”
One of the patrons using Mango Languages said that she really liked the program (she is learning Japanese). She said that it is better than the instructor at the college she is attending. She appreciates that you can learn at your own pace. She said her instructor is covering the same material but doing it more slowly.
Mango. Es un programa fantastico! Unlike Rosetta Stone, it gives you those grammatical tidbits that really makes things clear. For instance, explaining the difference between "estar" and "ser".
Can't believe it's free through the library! Thanks for pointing me to it. Que tengas un buen dia
I was very impressed with Mango for these reasons:
* I like the interactivity of the program: The visual and hearing settings make it a very easy and fun way to learn a language.
* I like the way they break down sentences, they color code it for translation and even have a visual pronunciation help that activates when you move the cursor of the mouse over a word (I think it’s a huge help).
* It gives you the option to replay the slide and go back and forth.
* Users are able to save the lessons so they can continue where the left on last time.
I am really glad that we added this database to our collection.
Thank You! I was successful in accessing Mango, beginning with this past Sunday afternoon. I entered Mango by first going to the Montgomery County Library homepage, selecting your library website for online learning and then choosing Mango. I REALLY enjoy Mango, and will continue to use it to grasp Spanish. Thank YOU!!!
The Mango Russian series is really superb. I access it through my local library, and am very grateful for the format and content. It has really given a jumpstart to my comprehension and pronunciation. “Bolshoi spasibo!”
I’m learning Japanese on Mango. I wanted to learn it on RosettaStone, but it was too expensive. However, when I heard about Mango Languages at my library, I wanted to try it. I love Mango for learning Japanese.
Kim Terry from the Metropolitan Library in OK shares how they used Mango’s FREE promotion system to get their patrons to know about and use it!
While at ALA 2010 a few librarians wanted to share how much they loved Mango Languages! Check it out!
