Travel Tuesday: Mango Goes Big, Y’all!

Needless to say, we are quite looking forward to getting to Dallas, Texas this week for the American Library Association 2012 Midwinter Conference!

The office is going to seem pretty empty, as 14 Mangoes will be heading southwest to participate in the bi-annual conference. From Mango smoothies to giveaways to demonstrations to typical Mango insanity, our booth will be bustling. Be sure to stop by Booth #2253 and say “howdy” to our staff! We are looking forward to another exciting show.

Is anyone attending the show? Is this your first time at ALA Midwinter? What conferences/exhibitors are you most looking forward to seeing?

ALA Midwinter: What a Great Time!

166274 10150122804033336 36058568335 7670490 4199276 n 200x150 ALA Midwinter: What a Great Time!Namaste Everyone!

This week marked the end of ALA Midwinter, and what a great show it was. ALA Midwinter was held at the San Diego Convention Center.

Our mangofied 20′ x 20′ booth was the place to be if you wanted to brush up on your Hindi while enjoying a refreshing, all natural Mango smoothie or if you were interested in learning more about Little Pim, our fun and interactive kids program. The excitement of our current customers and the curiously of those who came to learn more, got us pumped and ready for a great trade show.

Our tie-dyed shirts attracted people’s attention from across the conventional center. Attendees were very excited to hear about the 60+ languages we now offer as well as the Mango iPhone app that is coming out this summer. The innovative creator of Little Pim, Julia Pimsleur made a special appreance on Sunday to educate everyone about the ins and outs of Little Pim.

As a presenter this year, it was great to see everyone participate in our Hindi demos and be able to put phrases together all on their own by the end of the demo. Go Organic Learning! We love the enthusiasm of our current customers, and want to thank all those who provided us with incredible video testimonials raving about Mango Languages!

My favorite part of the show was, of course, the after party.  This year’s Mango Lounge VIP Party took place at Rock Bottom Brewery   (www.rockbottom.com/san-diego). The night provided great laughs, great drinks, great librarians, and all around great merry-making. The bartenders were barely able to keep up with requests for our delicious, signature drink, the Mangotini. The party was a blast and lasted til about 1am. Thanks to those who were able to join us; be on the lookout for pictures from the night!

Thank you to all who came out to our booth! We loved seeing all you guys! For those who couldn’t make it to ALA Midwinter, we can’t wait to see you at ALA Annual this summer in New Orleans
