Mango Languages

A Software Craftsman is responsible for the development and implementation of our technology initiatives. They are Responsible for the execution of tech projects at Mango. Will work closely with Content Development, marketing, and leadership to support production.

Key job responsibilities:
• Help with the ideation and concept of user interface elements
• Programming
• Software/DB Architecture
• Have the ability to work in multiple programming languages and be willing and able to learn new programming languages when necessary
• Quality Assurance
• Help with customer service issues as it relates to issues that can’t be solved by normal    customer service means
• System Architecture
• Mentorship
• Maintain an understanding of your customer and their needs
• Fill in Software & Requirement Gaps
• Investigation of technologies to create solutions that meet business needs

Key characteristics:
• 5+ Years of real world programming experience
• A portfolio of projects that show your skills
• A degree in Computational Linguistics preferred
• Proficiency in 3+ Programming Languages
• Proficient in at least one of the Following Programming Languages
▪ Action Script
▪ Ruby using the Rails Framework
▪ Objective C
▪ Javascript
▪ Java
• Proficient in HTML/CSS
• Ability & desire to quickly learn new programming languages
• Strong analytical thinking skills
• High attention to detail
• Ability to interact with internal teams and external clients (users)
• Self-motivated with a strong drive and determination to succeed
• Continuously stay abreast of emerging technologies and software industry trends
