Compensation: Base + commissions
Responsibilities
• Support overall company initiatives by contributing and sharing information with functional areas outside of Sales (e.g. Marketing, Fulfillment, Product Development).
• Contact existing and new customers by telephone to promote company’s initiatives
• Make a high volume of calls utilizing CRM system to track and monitor sales cycle
• Consistently meet and exceed call volume and sales goals
• Present product & service to potential customers, follow-up, and close the sale
• Adjust sales presentation to meet needs of specific individuals
• Prospect customers for future sales and business growing opportunities
• Obtain referrals for leads
• Become familiar with the market and regularly update management on competitive advantages, disadvantages, and activity in market
• Set and manage expectations with customer while continuously strengthening relationship
• Responsible for reporting account status updates to management
• Administrative duties: fax, file, copy, and e-mail, maintain CRM, run reports, track new business pipeline, submit forecasts
Experience/ Skills Required
• 1–5 years of successful sales experience in higher education publishing or custom publishing industry preferred
• Proficiency in relevant computer applications
• Proficiency in Salesforce.com or other CRM program a plus
