- I’m having difficulty signing into the Mango Passport app. What do I do?
- How do I get the Mango Passport app?
- The app is available as a companion when you purchase our Passport desktop application. For the iPhone and/or iPod Touch, the app is available from the iTunes App Store here or you can search for “Mango Languages” in the App Store. If you have an Android device, you can get the app from Google Play directly by clicking here or you can search for “Mango Languages” in Google Play. Be sure to download the regular Mango Languages app, not the Library Edition.
- How much does the Passport app cost?
- Our app a free companion to the Mango Passport program available for purchase on our website mangolanguages.com.
- Will the app work on all iPhones and Androids?
- Our app works on Apple devices running iOS 4.0 or greater; the first generation iPhone is not compatible. Our Android app works on Android devices versions 2.2 and higher.
- Which language courses are available on the Passport apps?
- All Mango Passport courses are available except Hebrew, Farsi, and Hindi, which are not supported by Android devices. These languages are available for the iPhone app.
- Will upgrades to the Mango Passport desktop application also upgrade the iPhone app and Android app?
- Yes, as courses are updated for the desktop application, they are also updated for the Mango Passport apps.
- How will the apps get updates?
- If your device has Internet access, updates will occur automatically.
- Is this a shortened version of the Mango Passport desktop application for computers?
- No, it is the full version of Mango Passport.
- Does the iPhone app work on the iPad?
- Yes, however the graphics are optimized for the iPhone and iPod touch.
- Does the Android app work on other tablets?
- The app is not optimized to work on Android tablets.
- Does Mango have plans to release Passport apps for other smartphones?
- Apps for other mobile platforms will be developed based on demand.
- How do I access my purchased courses with the app?
- Just go to the app store and download/install the app. Then, log in using the same credentials you created when you purchased Passport. Once logged in, your courses will appear when you select the language you purchased.
- Do the apps run offline?
- Once lessons are downloaded, they can be used for seven days without an Internet connection.
- Can I access the Passport apps anonymously?
- No, you must first create an account at mangolanguages.com. Once an account is created, you will have access to the first lesson of all available languages. If you purchased the Passport desktop application, the full course will be available when you log in with the Mango Languages account you created at purchase.
- Will my progress in the app sync to the dashboard in my Mango Passport desktop application?
- No, currently progress is tracked independently for each platform. Future updates may sync the app to the desktop application.
- How can I send feedback to Mango?
- We’d love to hear from you! Just go to the home screen in your app and hit “Feedback” to send an e-mail to Mango. Your iPhone/iPod touch/Android will need to have an e-mail account synced to the device.
- Do the apps have Mango’s Voice Comparison Feature?
- Not at this time. However, there are plans to include this in a future update.
- How do I log out of the app?
- Open “Settings” from the home screen, and tap “Logout.”
- What else can I do from the Settings screen in the app?
- You can turn the narrator on or off and delete all downloaded lessons and progress data.
- How can I learn more about Mango Languages?

- I’m having difficulty signing into the Mango Passport app. What do I do?
- In order to access a complete course via the Mango Passport app, you must first purchase the Mango Passport package from mangolanguages.com. At the time of purchase, you will be asked to set up a username and password for your Mango Languages account. These credentials can then be used to log in to the Mango Passport app. After logging in, you should have access to all of the courses that you purchased. Need assistance?
