Learn to Speak Pirate
We are so excited to announce that the Mango Pirate Language Course is here!
Ahoy mateys! If it’s pirate chatter ye be after, you’ve come to the right place. Mango’s Pirate Language Course will teach you everything you need to know to “parley” in perfect Pirate. It’s available for a limited time, and right now, it’s FREE!
In just a few minutes, you’ll learn:
- The appropriate way to hail your fellow gentlemen o’ fortune.
- A few choice names to call your lazy excuse of a crew.
- The finer points of swashbuckling.
- A bit about Pirate history, and the part it played in forming modern democracy.
- All sorts of practical Pirate lingo!
We had so much fun creating this course and along the way, got a little caught up in the life of a Pirate. Watch the footage of what the Mango Grove looked like when were were creating this course.
Looking forward for the Pirates of the Caribbean movie to come out later this month? Well now you can ACTUALLY understand everything that Johnny will be saying!
Just go to http://www.mangolanguages.com/store/pirate-day.html to start your Pirate Course for free!
Enjoy Mateys!

The link doesn’t work. If it is outdated, please let me know. My local library was advertising the pirate course today (July 19th, 2011).

Hi Lisa -
This was a limited edition program we are offered to celebrate the Pirates of the Caribbean movie. It will be back every September in honor of National Talk Like a Pirate Day.
Sorry for any confusion.

REALLY hoping the course will be available again, soon! … it’s a really fun way to promote Mango Languages to our customers!

If link to Mango’s Pirate Language Course doesn’t work how can we use it as part of our marketing strategy to promote the other languages. I am so sad

Link still does not work. Clicking on “FREE” or on any of the “Mango Pirate Language Course” or /store/ links sends me to a “404″ error page. Would be great if this were working by Sept 19th – my school mascot is the “pirate” and I’d love to spend a little Spanish class time on this cultural and language topic!! Thanks.

Hi! Our library is really excited to promote Mango on Talk Like a Pirate Day. Do you have any promotional materials or graphics (like a pirate with the Mango logo) that we could use on our posters? If not, that’s okay. We’re lucky to have a talented graphic artist here.
GREAT idea, by the way. We love it!
Thanks,
Megan

Hi Megan -
So sorry for the late reply.
There is a Pirate Poster available on the Mango Languages Administration Portal (We call it the MAP). You can print this out and hand it out or just put it up in the library.
The Pirate course is not available right now but will be available for the entire month of September to celebrate National Talk Like a Pirate Day on the 19th. So fun!
I hope this helps!
Thanks!

It’s September! I’m looking forward to the Mango Language course link becoming active again!

Hello Pirate Sandy,
It is September indeed, and the Pirate course is here! This time around there isn’t a separate link, the Pirate course should now be part of the course offering list when you log into Mango. Please let me know if you have any questions! We hope you enjoy the Pirate courrrrse!

I am disappointed. Is it just 5 lessons. No chapter 2?

Hi Faith, our Pirate course is a basic customized course. For courses like these we have limited content that we use to create the courses. What other content would you like to see in the future? thanks for your comment!

I don’t even understand how I stopped up here, but I assumed this submit used to be great. I do not recognize who you might be but definitely you are going to a famous blogger if you are not already. Cheers!
